If we get enough orders to pack on Monday then you can save me an expensive trip across the ferry to a freezer storage facility in VT. Tell you friends and neighbors, help us make room by filling your freezer. Let me explain:
In some ways it is a great problem to have, but a problem is still troublesome when the issue itself prevents progress. In a snafu of logistics I went to the processor to pickup our next round of beef, and they told me that they could not smoke our last round of pigs and we needed to take home the pallet. So instead of coming home with one full pallet of beef, I came home with two full pallets and some boxes of hams and bellies that I need to find a way to cure and smoke for the holidays. In the picture above is our pick freezer, where we have all the products organized so they are easy to find and quick to pick. Unfortunately to put everything in the freezer I had to fill the floor with boxes!
This picture is our storage freezer (remember the pallet ramp) and it is chock full as well.
