Good morning,
I love learning, it is one of the reasons I love farming. Click on the picture above or this link to see my newest learning project: we bought a border collie pup this spring and have been learning how a working dog thinks and how to work with him. I’ve been training him to help me move the chickens. It’s a perfect training task: it’s the same every time, it happens every day and it doesn’t take too long.
But there is also a branch of learning out there, in any field, and especially in running a small business, which is the realm of what you don’t know. For example, I did not know 6 months ago that it was feasible to ship meat orders via FedEx/UPS to customers’ doors, turns out it’s a booming business sector right now! None of us knew how to handle a global pandemic…. And this is the great dilemma of entrepreneurship: you don’t know what you don’t know.
This also applies to the customer end of things. We’ve all had that customer experience where you finally find that company or product you just knew had to be out there. But the question is how do you find them? For us this is a big question, how do folks find us? How do we let them know we’re here? To be honest I’m not sure, and we’re open to any suggestions or advice. One thing that is clearly working is you telling other folks. Word of mouth and personally recommendations go a long way so thank you.
(And don’t forget you can save your self some $$ with this tactic using your referral code found in your account. Tell your friends to use your code and you save $10 with each referral!)

I also believe one of the exciting things we can do for our customers is let you know of all the amazing food that is out there. We are proud to now carry Hand Made Artisanal Cultured Butter from our friends at Gold Bar Butter. And next week we will be announcing how we will be collaborating with Victor of All From The Woods. Victor has carved his niche with Micro Greens. And he does not sell your typical clamshell of micro greens that go soggy in the fridge after a day or two. Victor offers the greens in the flat of soil, ready to be trimmed at meal time. If you’re looking for fresh, there’s nothing fresher than this!
Stay tuned for some offerings for local pickups!
