We’ve spend summers walking past these water troughs…
But this week 100 gallons of cool water was too tempting, which would you choose, a quick dip or riding on papa’s shoulders through tall grass, flies and the occasional tree branch to slap you?
Tomorrow, we’ll try the 150 gallon trough.π
I’d like to send a special thanks to Noel and Ben! Ben works with Adam at Tangleroot Farm, where we are now offering delivery with Tangleroot’s CSA shares! Ben and Noel have been posting some AMAZING photos of some inspiring meals with some of our meat!
If you’re looking for some ideas just check out a few of their instagram posts: (I cannot figure out how to include any of the pics directly from Instagram but the titles alone should entice a click:)
- grilled chicken breast and beef kielbasa, eggplant, zucchini and leeks on top of arugula, tomatoes and herbs with a π£ sesame dressing. [IG Post here]
- Simply seasoned ground beef burger with American cheese, served on a toasted with a schmear of homemade mayo and a tomato slice… cucumber salad and my failed attempt at lazy zucchini fries (they tasted great but the breading did NOT stick -I was in a rush and didnβt feel like dipping each oneπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€£)… I just covered them in barbecue sauce [IG Post here]
And the pictures are mouth-watering!

I know, this is a terrible picture, but we tried…it’s hard to make a well loved, half eaten burger look photogenic. But that’s because this is a meal you eat when it’s hot outside, no one wants to be in the house, we eat dinner as it comes off the grill and man are the burgers good.
I’m not trying to sell these burgers, in fact I’d keep them all if there were not so many that that would be unrealistic. So instead I just want you to try them, let me know, are these the best burgers you’ve ever eaten?
Heck, I learned long ago after thousands of hours of podcasts, that leaving a review matters, so now I’ll put you on the other end of that request: click on this link and leave us a review.
Thank you for your continued interest, time and support,
